Gender parity in education is one of the Millenium Development Goals. There is need to ensure as many girls as boys are enroled into schools and remain in school till completion.
The girl child is beset with numerous social barriers that either hinder her entry into school or her continued stay in the education system, thus giving the girl child a higher probability of dropping out of school.
Advocay needs to be strengthened in this area to ensure the Girl Child enjoys her right to education without hinderance.

Access to universal primary education is a right each child must enjoy. Efforts must be redoubled to ensure that as many children as possible have access to education and receive quality teaching and their learning is also of quality.
Children in most vulnerable sections of our society are often excluded from school due to poverty, disease, disability and sheer parental neglect. These are barriers that can be fought so that no child is left behind!
